Expanding beyond software to apply innovation agility for business teams
A 146 Year Old American Food Conglomerate
Just before COVID-19 struck we worked to stand up six business teams and implement principles such as “work together daily”, “minimize WIP”, and “create short feedback loops”.
As a result, teams created new processes for managing orders that allowed them to proactively control how food was distributed across all of Canada during a time when food distribution was critical.
They have since expanded to 20 teams across 2 trains and are in their 28th Planning Interval, our longest running Agile Release Train yet!
