Project Prioritization Workshop

$0.00

Duration: 8 hours | Recommended Class Size: Minimum of 7

Pre-Requisites: A Collection (7-20) of Projects

This quick-start, interactive workshop is designed to provide a catch-up, large batch prioritization for an existing program that has not established ongoing prioritization practices.  Leaders will gather to learn an economic prioritization technique called Weighted-Shortest-Job-First (WSJF) then quickly dig in to assess Cost of Delay (impact) and Job Size (effort) for an existing backlog of projects.

This workshop is meant to provide quick prioritization that aligns with the organizational strategy in a time-boxed session. You will leave with a WSJF score and prioritization for up to 20 features and a shared understanding of where to focus efforts. This can also be used as a basis for roadmap (which can be drafted with an optional 1-day add-on).

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand lean-agile principles

  2. Learn an economic framework for prioritization

  3. Experiment with relative prioritization via a simulation

  4. Gain clarity on strategy & objectives from leadership

  5. Develop a draft prioritized backlog that can fulfill these objectives
